Better way to reach new customers

LetMeIntroduce is the first service that combines two of the most popular Internet activities, sharing with friends and using coupons, to create a viral advertising platform. With Facebook users sharing over 25 billion pieces of content each month1 and Twitter users doing 55 million tweets per day,2 social networks are the biggest way that consumers share information with friends online. Couple this with 3.2 billion coupons redeemed last year alone3, and an opportunity emerges. Offering discounts to customers in exchange for sharing their purchase details with friends is an effective way to drive word of mouth advertising and generate new sales. Recommendations from friends are the one of the most trusted sources of information.4 With LetMeIntroduce, generating buzz no longer involves gambling your budget by attempting a viral video, contest, and other gimmicks.

The LetMeIntroduce Platform

LetMeIntroduce offers a self-service platform for creating word of mouth viral campaigns on social networks. If implemented on an e-commerce site, customers have the option to share their purchase details with their Facebook friends and Twitter followers. In exchange, customers receive an instant-off coupon which they can redeem immediately at checkout.

Retailers specify the messaging they want posted on their customers' social networks, as well as the coupon code they want to give out. LetMeIntroduce generates a special link that retailers include on their e-commerce sites, email campaigns, etc. This link opens a LetMeIntroduce pop-up that handles the post and coupon distribution.

Shoppers love it

By combining consumers' love for getting deals and sharing on social networks, LetMeIntroduce is a service that shoppers will use every chance they get. People don't want to spam their friends with advertisements, but posting a purchase – which they've made or are about to make – is something the majority of shoppers will have no problems doing.

Play by the rules

LetMeIntroduce takes care to make sure all Facebook5 and Twitter6 policies are followed. For example, both social networks forbid direct advertisements being posted. Consequently, we require all posts to describe an action (e.g. "John just purchased ACME shoes" as opposed to "ACME Shoes on Sale"). We make sure all rules are followed by educating our retailers, as well as manually reviewing what they want their customers to share in exchange for the coupon.

Deleted posts are detected

LetMeIntroduce takes steps to prevent and deter shoppers from deleting their posts after receiving the discount. Right off the bat, we check the Facebook or Twitter account of the shopper to make sure it's a legitimate one. Before the actual post is made, shoppers see a preview of it to prevent any surprises. If they like what it says, the purchase is posted and the discount code displayed. Later, our system goes back and checks if the post is still there. If the shopper removes it, they are blacklisted from the LetMeIntroduce service across all e-commerce websites.

LetMeIntroduce doesn't charge retailers for posts that were removed. Detailed statistics are provided so that patterns can be found (e.g. if one particular post leads to more deletions).

Getting started is easy
